Welcome to the Southern Animal Hospital

Southern Animal Hospital, Morphett Vale has been a veterinary hospital since the mid 1980s.

It was the second ASAVA accredited hospital in south Australia

The Morphett Vale hospital is the largest veterinary hospital in South Australia with a vast array of surgical, medical and diagnostic equipment.

As well as the routine surgical services we offer laprascopic and arthroscopic surgery similar to human hospitals. Our laboratory has the latest blood analyser machines for quick diagnosis, especially useful in emergencies, and during nights and weekends.

There are over 12 veterinarians and 25 nurses trained in all areas of animal care and support. They have special interests in X-rays, ultrasound, eyes, skin, internal medicine, diabetes, cruciate surgeries, wildlife, dental care, rabbits, emergency medicines, pet nutrition, arthritis treatments and many other areas related to pets living longer and better.

The hospital is open 7 days per week till 8pm and only closes one day of the year

We see all types of furry feathered and scaled creatures and do a significant amount of wildlife work as part of our commitment to the local community

The staff come from a wide range of backgrounds and from all over the world and Australia
